Pretty Weeds

I've never seen Gazanias grow like they do here in Ararat.
Great swathes of them on footpaths.
I suspect it's not intentional but rather they have established themselves as weeds.
Usually they are the orange and yellow ones, but check out the colour of this one.
'Tis gorgeous - orangey pink - I've never seen another like it.
This one came in the form of a pilfered stalk from outside an old church in Beaufort
(a lovely day out a couple of years ago with Mum, Leigh and Vince).

This one is quite lovely too - it lives under the Oleander at the back tap.

Rose of the Day - Edgar Degas

This one lives at No.28 in Ararat.
It's such a happy cheery rose.
And the petals really do look like the tutus in Degas' paintings.
See?

Good-bye My Little Garden

The Loooooonnnnnggggest Good-Bye.
6 months to extricate ourselves from our little house in the country.
I shall miss it dreadfully - I LOVED living here.
But....new adventures await.
Heading north.

The Amazing Pinkie Rose

Spring
Love this time of year.
The Pinkie Rose covering the front of our house is in full bloom.
It's beautiful.
And pink.
